Betty Lou Coppedge, 80 of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Betty was born on March 23, 1938 in Mulberry Grove Township; the daughter of the late George and Selma (Haberer) Etheridge. The life long homemaker and mom was a charter member since 1975 of Landmark Baptist Church in Collinsville and was a member of the Edwardsville YMCA.

In her free time Betty enjoyed her days spending time with her family and will be remembered for her loving heart. She is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Donald W. Coppedge, whom she married on December 28, 1955; her son, Donald (Pam) Coppedge of Troy, Illinois; grandchildren, Ashley (Bob) Ulicni of Troy, Illinois, Tonya (Nick) DeLaney of Nixa, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Zoey Ulicni, Peyton Ulicni of Troy, Illinois; brother, Carroll (Loretta) Ethridge of California. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother; Bill (Mary) Ethridge.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 fro 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon. In celebration of Betty’s life, services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Hug Cemetery in Pocahontas, Illinois.
