Obituary for Karen F. Burke-Fowler Karen F. Burke-Fowler, 56, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. Born November 5, 1961 in Manchester, NH, daughter of Heike (Remke) and the late Edward J. Burke, Jr., she lived most of her life in Springfield. Karen was a graduate of Classical High School, Class of ’79, and worked as a waitress.

She was active with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County. Karen is survived by her beloved husband, Warren L. Albrecht, Jr.; loving mother, Heike Byrum and her husband Harry, of Houston, TX; loving children, Nikolas B. Fowler, of Springfield and Taylor S. Fowler and her fiance Steven Healey, of Springfield; and two sisters, Remmy Burke and Suzanne Vaughan, both of Houston, TX. Calling hours for Karen will be held Friday from 4-7PM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee.

Funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters, 83 Maple St. Suite 201, Springfield, MA 01105. Upcoming Events Visitation 2018 APR 13.
