Obituary for Bertha P. Lak Bertha P. (Swol) Lak, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Brookside Hospice in Palm Harbor, FL. Born February 14, 1919, daughter of the late Clemens and Apolonia (Jarosz) Swol, she lived in Florida for the past twenty years and previously resided in Wilbraham and Chicopee. Bertha was a retired dietician for Wilbraham Monson Academy and a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr.

Bertha was predeceased in 1975 by her husband, Boleslaw Lak and is survived by her beloved daughter Lucille L. Chase and husband Arthur, of Palm Harbor; loving grandchildren, John Yanusas and wife Joyce, of Rhode Island and Jennifer Fielding and husband Randy, of Cincinnati, OH; and cherished great grandchildren, Elyse Yanusas, Ryder Fielding and Conner Fielding. Funeral services will be held Friday from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
