Obituary for Mary Ellen Trembley Mary Ellen (Duquette) Trembley, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018 at The Wellington at Springfield, with her loving family by her side. Born in Springfield on November 16, 1925, daughter of the late Archie and Helen (Doyle) Duquette, she had lived most of her life in Chicopee. A graduate of Classical High School, Mary Ellen was a well-known waitress at Tony and Penny’s restaurant in Ludlow, and retired after twenty-five years of service.

Mary Ellen was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Chicopee, and was an active member of the Belchertown Senior Center. Her family would like to thank the staff of The Wellington, especially Rebecca, Kristy, Michelle, Joyce, Irma and Samantha, for the excellent care and compassion given to her. Mary Ellen was predeceased in 2007 by her beloved husband, William J. Trembley, and is survived by four loving children, Denyse A. Trembley of CT, Michael Trembley of Holyoke, Kathy DeJesus and husband George of Westfield, and Jacqueline M. Jurkowski and husband Thomas of Belchertown; twelve cherished grandchildren, Bernard Lynch and Katerina, Michael Lynch and wife Kristen, Kimberly Lynch and Kristin Baush, Daniel Jurkowski, Jessica Jurkowski and fiancé Sesooter, Christopher Jurkowski and Marley, Jamie Hanning and wife Heidi, Mary Beth Hanning, Kaitlyn Hanning, Jason Trembley and wife Nicole, Leah Gonsalves and Rebecca Trembley; seventeen cherished great-grandchildren; brother, William Duquette of Springfield; sister-in-law, Pat Duquette of Longmeadow; several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Lily.

She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Brown, and brothers, Thomas Duquette and Robert Duquette. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8AM from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 319 Broadway, Chicopee. Committal services will follow in MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MA Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104. Upcoming Events Visitation , SEP 4.
