Obituary for Waldemar Walewander Waldemar Walewander, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2018, with his loving family by his side. Born in Naleczow, Poland, on December 21, 1953, son of Janina (Adamczyk) and the late Mieczyslaw Walewander, he has resided in Chicopee for more than twenty years. A communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr, Waldemar worked for twenty seven years as a dedicated dental technician both in Poland and in the United States, and more recently worked for Lupa Construction in Ludlow.

Waldemar is survived by his beloved wife of forty two years, Anna (Adamczyk) Walewander; his loving daughters, Magda Malejko and husband Michal, of Belchertown, and Gosia Piskorowski and husband Adam, of Chicopee; and three cherished grandchildren, Alexandra, Filip, and Oliver. He is also survived by his siblings and their families in Poland, Ewa Sosnowska and husband Wojciech, Lilianna Glodek, and Wieslaw Waliwander. He was predeceased by his sister, Gosia.

Funeral services for Waldemar will be held Saturday from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9:30-10:45 AM.
