Obituary for Marianne C. Maciejewski Marianne C. (Lengieza) Maciejewski, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 22, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. Born May 19, 1942, daughter of the late Michael and Sophia (Skiba) Lengieza, she was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr. Marianne was a graduate of Chicopee High School, and furthered her education by earning a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She worked at the Chicopee Municipal Home for many years before becoming a private duty nurse. Marianne was the first woman president of the Chicopee Municipal Employees’ Union, and for twenty years was the secretary of the Crescents Show Band. She was a longtime volunteer at Harmony House of Western MA.

Marianne is survived by her beloved husband of forty-seven years, Joseph “Macy” Maciejewski; loving twin brother, John M. Lengieza of Holyoke; many nieces and nephews, especially her cherished nephew and godson, Daniel J. Lengieza and wife Mary of Hampden; uncle, Stanley Lengieza of New York; special friend, Ruth Willemain, founder of Harmony House; and very good friend, Bobby Moriarty. Calling hours for Marianne are Thursday from 4-7PM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, with a prayer service at 6:30PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony House of Western Massachusetts, 663 Pendleton Ave. , Chicopee, MA 01020. Upcoming Events Visitation , NOV 29.
