Obituary for Frederick F Borowsky Frederick F. Borowsky, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at home with his loving family by his side. Born December 31, 1923, son of the late Frank and Caroline (Peters) Borowsky, he was a lifelong Springfield resident. Frederick worked as a inspector and tester for Savage Arms, and retired as a truck driver.

He was proud of his German and Polish heritage, enjoyed polka music and dancing and was an avid collector of pocket watches and clocks. Frederick was predeceased by his beloved wife Adeline (Abraham) Borowsky in 1987 and is survived by his six loving children, Francine J. Plumador of Springfield, Maxine A. Bird and husband William of Sterling, Frank T. Borowsky and wife Jean of El Paso, TX, Donna S. Shalvoy and husband Christopher of Brimfield, MA, Samuel J. Borowsky of Indian Orchard, and Sheila M. Geagan and husband Patrick of Springfield; fifteen cherished grandchildren, twenty-four loved great-grandchildren and nine very special great-great grandchildren. Frederick is also survived by his siblings, Charles Barowski of Southwick, and Faye Smithies of Westfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Carolyne Carani and Arthur Barowski. A funeral home service for Frederick will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, MA. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Westfield.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 9-11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western and Central MA, 1325 Springfield St., Suite 12, Feeding Hills, MA 01030. Upcoming Events Visitation , NOV 28.
