Obituary for Anna Zelasko Anna (Deren) Zelasko, 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Mount St. Vincent Nursing Center. Born September 25, 1920, daughter of the late Mikolaj and Mary (Lak) Deren, she has resided in Chicopee for the past fifty years, and previously in Holyoke. Anna was a communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke.

A talented seamstress, she used her skills working for the John Lyman Co. and Totsy Toy Co. Anna was predeceased in 2002 by her beloved husband, Emil J. Zelasko Sr., and is survived by her loving children, Emil J. Zelasko Jr., of Chicopee, and Sophie Zelasko, of Chicopee; cherished grandchildren, Matthew, of Wilbraham, and Jennifer, of West Brookfield; great-granddaughters, Logan and Piper Rose; and her sister and family in Poland. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Deren. Funeral services for Anna will be held Friday morning from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica.

Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours are Friday from 8-9:45AM. Today’s Events Visitation 2018 JUL 13.
