Obituary for Jean Dybas Jean (Brown) Dybas, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Bellshill, Scotland, on June 21, 1938, daughter of the late Francis and Anne (McManus) Brown, she resided in Chicopee for the past 61 years. Jean was retired from Spalding, Inc., and was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr.

Jean had a love of flowers, solving puzzles, and her Dunkin Donuts coffee and wake-up wrap. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward D. Dybas; five loving children, Michael G. Dybas and wife Cherie of Toms River, NJ, Audrey E. Belanger and husband Michael J. of Chicopee, Sandra J. Oliveira and husband George of Coventry, RI, Diana M. Meade and husband Donald of Chicopee, and Amy D. Dybas of Lynn, MA; six grandchildren, whom she “loved to infinity”, Alyssa Dybas, Katie Belanger, Jennifer Belanger and fiance Manny Galanis, Matthew Belanger, Samantha Oliveira and Sophia Meade; one cherished great-grandchild, Trystan; two sisters, Maisie Kelly of Scotland and Elizabeth Kirk of Australia; a sister-in-law, Jane Wysocki of Chicopee; and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings.

Funeral services for Jean will be held Monday at 8:30AM from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica, Chicopee. Committal services will follow in the chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-6PM.
