Obituary for Joanne M. Bachand Joanne M. (Ciborowski) Bachand, 48, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center, with her loving family and best friend Alice at her side. Born February 15, 1970, daughter of Joseph and Diane (Obrycki) Ciborowski, she lived in Southwick up to the last seven years, when she resided in South Windsor, CT. Joanne was a graduate of Southwick High School, Class of 1988, and continued her education at Westfield State College, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication.

With a fervent desire to travel and her ebullient personality, Joanne completed training with Continental Airlines, initially working as a flight attendant and later as an agent at Bradley International Airport. She travelled near and far, enjoying the experiences and people she met along the way. The ocean always beckoned Joanne, and she found happiness and relaxation on sandy beaches.

Joanne is survived by her beloved parents, Joseph and Diane Ciborowski of Southwick; her caring and loving brother, Jeffrey J. Ciborowski of West Springfield; cherished nephew, Andrew Ciborowski; dearest best friend, Alice Chambers of Southwick; husband, Michael Bachand of South Windsor; and close friend, Carrie Taylor of Holyoke. Family and friends are invited to calling hours for Joanne on Wednesday evening from 4-7PM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Upcoming Events Visitation 2018 JUN 27.
