Obituary for Monika J Laz Monika J. (Fojt) Laz, 52, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in Opatow, Poland on October 10, 1965, daughter of Janusz and Barbara (Szczykutowicz) Fojt, she was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr. An accomplished woman, Monika earned a Law Degree in Poland and a Masters Degree in Accounting from American International College.

She worked as an accounting analyst for the Hartford Group Insurance Co. Along with her parents, Janusz and Barbara Fojt of Poland, Monika is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-eight years, Andrzej W. Laz; loving and cherished daughters, Anita G. Lekarczyk and husband Mark, and Katrina S. Laz; and brother, Mariusz Fojt and wife Malgorzata of Poland. Funeral services for Monika will be held Saturday morning from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
