Family will greet friends beginning at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron, with a memorial service immediately following at 4:00PM. Rev.

Jimmy Rozier will officiate and music will be provided by Ron Dailey and Lindsey Dailey Hayes. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Larry’s honor to Middle Georgia Rescue Mission, Men’s Program, 774 Hazel St., Macon, GA 31201. Born in Athens to the late James Leatus Dailey and Jeanette Rose Barrett Dailey, Larry graduated from Warner Robins High School and worked as a lineman for Kroft Mullens Electric from 1963 until 1970.

He then began his career at Fort Valley Utility Commission and retired in 2016 as an electric and gas superintendent. He was an old school, simple country man that loved to play golf, fish and going to watch his grandchildren participate in sports events. Survivors include his children, Terry Wayne Dailey (Janet) of Byron, Troy Dailey (Tabitha) of Fort Valley, and Angel Jones (William) of Musella; grandchildren, Allison Dailey, Katlyn Dailey, Sadie McEachern, Sophie McEachern, Ethan McEachern, Riley McEachern, Elsie McEachern, Molly Jones, and Walker Jones; brothers, Ron Dailey (Carole) of Perry and Bob Dailey (Joy) of Warner Robins; and a sister in law, Peggy Dailey of Warner Robins.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joann, and a brother, Ricky Dailey. Rooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
