Obituary for Laura Lowe Whitt Laura Lowe Whitt, age 89, of Swords Creek, VA passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at her home. Laura was born in Doran, VA and was the daughter of the late John C. and Ollie Mae Cordle Lowe. She worked as a seamstress at Eastern Isles and was a lifelong resident of the Swords Creek area.

She was a member of Raven Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Whitt; one son, Curtis Whitt; five sisters and four brothers. She is survived by: Daughter, Freda Hayes and husband, Paul C. of Abingdon, VA Daughter-in-law, Kathy Whitt of Swords Creek, VA Grandchildren: Heather Stillwell and husband, Michael of Pounding Mill, VA Ashley Nahamko and husband, Nick of Fort McMurry, Alberta Canada Great Grandchildren: Lauren Stillwell, Logan Stillwell, Skylar Ayers and Desirea Ayers Special thanks to Helping Hands Home Health and Hospice Graveside services for Laura Lowe Whitt will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Building # 4 in Claypool Hill, VA with the Rev.

Dennis White officiating. Interment will follow. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
