Obituary for Pete Stevenson Charles Boyd “Pete” Stevenson, age 79, of Cedar Bluff, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his home in Russell County. Pete was born in Cedar Bluff, VA and was the son of the late William Buford and Margaret Marie Tolliver Stevenson. He was class of 1958 graduate of Richlands High School.

He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean war. Pete was a member of the Richlands Presbyterian Church and was a lifelong resident of the area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Sue Reed, Nancy Carol Holcomb; and a brother, Roy Buford Stevenson.

He is survived by: His wife, Sue Looney Three Daughters: Deborah Stevenson of Richlands, VA Darlene Lawson and husband, Terry of Big Stone Gap, VA Stephanie Pruett of Richlands, VA Son, William R. Stevenson of Pounding Mill, VA Stepsons: Chance Farris and Heather Williamson of Bristol, VA Jeremy Farris of the home Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren along with a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Charles Boyd “Pete” Stevenson will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. David Osborne officiating.

Interment will follow at the Stevenson Family Cemetery in Cedar Bluff, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 6pm on Sunday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
