Born on March 2, 1941 in Covington, VA, she was the daughter of the late Thurman C. Brown and Louise Craft Watson. She was raised by her grandparents, Bonnie and Aaron Craft, and Aunt Millie Marshall and husband Lacey.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a lover of the arts and music. She was very good with her hands and leaves behind many paintings and a legacy for her family.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Beverly Williams and Terry Hurt, both of Slanesville, WV; 2 sons, Kevin Back of Sykesville, MD and Craig Back of Arnold, MD, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Bonnie Sue Fortner of Covington, VA. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 9, 2019 at Loving Funeral Home, Covington, VA. All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
