Wilma June Garrison September 12, 1940 – January 30, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Wilma June Garrison, 78, of Augusta, WV passed away on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle. Born on September 12, 1940 in Kirby, WV, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Craig) Dean. Wilma was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

She liked spending time with family and friends. She was the caregiver to her mother until time of passing. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Garrison on June 20, 2005.

She was also preceded by four brothers, David Dean, Benjamin Dean, Franklin Dean, James L. Dean; two sisters, Audrey Dean Hart, Bessie Garrison; a son, Douglas Garrison, a grandson Samuel Smythe and two infant sisters. Surviving are two sons, James “Mike” Garrison (Rosie) of Augusta, Robert Whetzel (Deanna) of Fairmont, WV; three daughters, Rebecca” Becky” Kowal (Edward) of Tampa, FL, Sharon Conners of Morgantown, WV, Linda Miller (John) of Romney; nine grandchildren: John Garrison (Alicia), Joshua Garrison, Mark Hinkle (Jennifer) Matthew Hinkle (Heather), Tracie Echols, Samantha Garrison, Brittany Long (Alex) Tiffany Miller & companion Orren Burke, John Miller, two sisters-in-laws, Anna Dean and Gloria Dean and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 3, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, with Minister David Bradfield officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery Romney, WV. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
