Donald James Brewster August 27, 1939 – February 04, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Donald James Brewster, 79, of Romney, WV passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney, WV. Born on August 27, 1939 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Eugene James Brewster and Donna Lee (Moore) Brewster. Donald enjoyed boating, skeet shooting, fishing, and nature and restoring his antique car, a 37 Chevy, and touring the state in car shows.

After retiring in 2002, he returned to his birth state of West Virginia and built his home in Romney where he enjoyed the beautiful natural surroundings of the mountains. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Brewster and 2 grandchildren, Travis Saltsman and Tokhan Oztas. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Hospelhorn Brewster, 3 daughters, Deborah Douglas of Brooklyn, MD, Dawn Saltsman of Hollywood, MD, and Donna Roche of Lexington Park, MD; 2 sisters, Julie Brown of Annapolis, MD, Pam Dodle of Burlington, WV; a brother, Bruce Brewster of Annapolis, MD; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

All services are private and handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
