Obituary for Linda Herndon Austin LINDA HERNDON AUSTIN CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Linda Herndon Austin, 76, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. She was born in Dante, Virginia; the daughter of the late Sherman and Otha Keith Herndon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Austin; three sisters, Bobbie Mae Higgins, Zella Vance and Shelva Tilton; two brothers, James Salyers and Bill Herndon.

She retired from Castlewood High School Cafeteria and was a member of the Mills Chapel Church. She is survived by one daughter, Nikki Hicks and husband, Aaron of Abingdon, Virginia; one son, Tony Austin of Abingdon, Virginia; one granddaughter, Delaney Austin; two grandsons, Will Austin and Tristan Hicks; one sister, Betty Jean Domby of St. Paul, Virginia; special friend, Betty McMillian of Castlewood, Virginia; several nieces and nephews. Services for Linda Herndon Austin will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev.

Mike Patrick officiating. Interment will follow Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Bill Higgins, Doug Austin, Steve Austin, Tyler Patrick, Craig McMillian, and Freddie Buckles.

Honorary Pallbearers will be men from Mills Chapel Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia. On line condolences may be sent to the Austin family through our website at www.
