Linda’s Obituary Clover, SC – Linda Johnson Currence, 77, passed away January 29, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 24, 1941, a native of York County, the daughter of the late Sylvester Patrick Johnson and Julia Smart Johnson. The family would like to extend their gratitude and special thanks to Hospice and caregivers, Jana, Wanda and Morgan for their loving care of Mrs. Currence.

She is survived by her son, David P. Currence of York, SC; daughter, Julie C. Grose and husband Eric of York, SC; grandchildren, Jana Currence, Heather Abrams, Caroline and Courtney Grose; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister Ruth Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, James “Jim” Currence; brothers, Howard and Ray Johnson; and sisters, Louise Bennett, Gladys Glenn, and Mary Neil Kelly. A funeral service will be held 11 am on Friday, February 1, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Clover, 124 Bethel Street, Clover, SC, officiated by Pastors Tommy Wilkes and Tony Adams.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care – 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732- hospicecommunitycare.org Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
