Obituary for Linda LaHaise Linda ‘Smits’ Kegler LaHaise, of Warren, MI, passed away on April 17, 2018, at Beaumont Hospital, in Royal Oak, MI, after years of struggling with COPD, CHF and diabetes. She was born on December 25, 1949, the middle daughter of William & Jeanne (Emerick) Smits. Her passion was helping everyone look their best as a hair stylist.

She started doing hair when still in high school. After graduating from Fraser High School, she worked at and later bought Coach Lite Hair Stylists, located in Warren, MI. She enjoyed eating on the water, watching boats & ships go their merry way.

When she wasn’t having the wind blow thru her hair while driving around in her Sky convertible, the Red Wings, knitting, crocheting, word searches, crosswords, archery and soaps took up her spare time. Linda is survived by her sister, Janet, (Kenneth) Kimball and her Great Nephew, Steven (Kristin LeBeau) Boguslaw; Also by her nieces, Joleen, (Stanley) Boguslaw and Erica Smits; nephew, Brian (Karin) Burin, Great nieces, Alecia Ratiu-King, Alyssa (Jordon Fetko) and Amanda Galloway and Sarah Boguslaw; Great nephews, Jacob King, John (Sulema Gallardo) Galloway and Michael Boguslaw; her Great Great nephew and niece, Damien LeRose and Jordyn King; her canine side kicks, Heidi and Myra and many, many friends and another sister, Paula Burin. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, David LaHaise, in 2007; and Ralph Kegler, in 1989.

Also, her brother and sister-in-law, Walter (Chip) and Elizabeth Smits, in 2013, and nephew, JW King, in 1996. Private services are being held.
