Lucy Jenkins Mahone, 98, of Hurricane, Joined her husband, Tuesday, March 19, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Mahone; parents, Emmett and Lucy Jenkins; and brothers, Edward Jenkins Sr., Earl Jenkins, Emmett Jenkins and Arthur Jenkins. Lucy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She loved people, never meeting a stranger to tell a joke to, or to laugh with. She was known as “The Hat Lady” at First Baptist Church of Hurricane where she was a member. Surviving are her daughter, Gail McClure (Roger) of Hurricane; grandchildren, Jason McClure (Kimberly) of Sandusky, OH and Ryan McClure (Jennifer) of Shrewsbury; great grandchildren, Justin McClure of Maumee, OH and Rachel McClure (Jacob Gilson) of Charlotte, NC; and many other extended family and friends.

A Celebration of her life will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 23, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Hurricane, with Pastor Jeff Davenport and Rev. Jerry Losh officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-3pm Saturday at the church.
