Margaret “Peggy” Conmy, age 48, of 227 Irby Ave passed away January 23, 2019 at her home. She was born in Newburgh NY and was the daughter of Cathleen Farrenkopf and Richard Whritner. Peggy was employed with the Greenville Hospital System at the Laurens County Memorial Hospital as a pharmacy tech.

She loved to paint, whether a room in her house or paint-by-numbers, and she loved the outdoors. She lovingly called her dogs her “babies” and will be remembered as a loving wife and a good person. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Gene Conmy of the home, her daughter, Brittney Sias; brothers, Kenny (Sharon) Markarian and Edward (Fairlight) Whritner; a sister, Catherine Chaback.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church of Laurens. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Laurens County Humane Society, P.O. Box 964 Laurens, SC 29360.
