Martine’s Obituary Martine (Hiltebeitel) Shupard, 95, formerly of Audubon, PA, passed away in her sleep on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Peter Becker Community of Harleysville, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Shupard. Born January 17, 1924, in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lizzie (Jacobs) Hiltebeitel.

She was a graduate of Norristown High School where she played on the basketball team. Following high school, she and her teammates continued playing basketball together and remained life-long friends. Martine was employed as a secretary for many years for Methacton School District.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald J. Shupard of Norristown, PA, and James E. Shupard and his wife, Dorothy, of Pottstown, PA; five grandchildren, Carolann, Ronald Jr., James Jr., Kristin, and Holly; and nine great grandchildren, Quinton, Victoria, Alexandra, Gage, Shelby, Liam, Mykala, Aubrielle and Nikiah. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Shupard; a grandson, Jeffrey Shupard; a great grandson, Joshua Shupard; a daughter-in-law, Veronica Shupard; and three sisters, Rea Slemmer, Mae Bortman and Lois Macolly. Services will be private.
