Obituary for Marvin Walton RICHMOND, Ind. – Marvin Walton, age 88, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, June 29, 2018, at Reid Health. Born July 2, 1929, in Estill County, Kentucky, to Ernest and Martha Thomas Walton, Marvin lived in Richmond most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Army. Marvin owned the former Marv’s Alignment and was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lois Edwards Walton; daughter, Melissa Bullock of Indianapolis, Indiana; son, David Walton (Whitney Petitt) of Richmond; seven grandchildren, Christina Swenson, Joshua (Hope) Walton, Randall (Becky) Bullock, Ryan Bullock, Cole Walton, James Walton Jr., and Mariah Walton; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lucille Lay. Visitation for Marvin Walton will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev.

James Spon officiating. Private burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church, 1601 South A Street, Richmond, IN 47374 or Reid Foundation for the Hospice Program, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47374.
