Obituary for Mary Ann Brightwell Mary Ann Brightwell, 80, of Nitro WV ascended into heaven with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Mary Ann was born October 21, 1937 in Nitro WV to the late Cecil and Beulah Goodall. She was also preceded in death by her brother Johnny Bill Goodall.

She was a graduate of Nitro High School, class of 1955. She attended First Baptist Church of Nitro and was a former member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Mary Ann was a devoted wife to the love of her life of 60 years, H. E. “Gene” Brightwell; and loving mother to 3 children, Gary (Mary), Pam (Steve) and Eric.

As a wife and mother, she dedicated her life in support of her family, in which she built an eternal foundation of love and happiness. Besides her husband and children, she is also survived by the light of her life grandchildren; David, Alex and Daylen Brightwell, Justin (Amber) Cavender and great grandchildren, Layla and Easton. A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 11, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with the Rev.

Bobby Goldsburg officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 3 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
