Obituary for Mary Kay Qualsett Mary Kay Qualsett, 76, of Grand Island passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. Gathering of friends and family will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in the Sanctuary.

Pastors Dan Brenton, Paul Nauman and Jeff McKearney will officiate. Mary was born on March 22, 1942 in Albion, NE, daughter of Kermit and Myrtle (Peterson) Mortensen. She was raised and received her education from Albion and graduated in 1960.

On June 3, 1962 Mary was united in marriage to Orville “Orv” Qualsett. They made their home in Corning, IA before settling in Grand Island in 1964. Mary enjoyed golfing and found peace spending time at their cabin.

Mary was an active member at Grand Island Evangelical Free Church. Her faith in Christ lead her to volunteer and share her love and support with many. Mary’s journey in life has been about faith and family.

Through her love and leading by example she has raised her family to be faithful servants of Christ as well. Her memory is cherished by her husband, Orv of Grand Island; children, Bart (Lisa) Qualsett of Fremont, Kapra (Dave) Watson of Grand Island; brother, Kris Mortensen of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jenna Qualsett, Sarah Qualsett, Noah (Victoria) Watson, Toby Watson, Kindra Watson, Emmy Watson and Boaz Watson; along with many extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Kerm Mortensen.
