Mary Lillian Hearl Wann, age 99, of Danville, VA, died on Friday, July 06, 2018, at Roman Eagle Health and Rehab. Mrs. Wann was born on December 9, 1918, in Abingdon, VA, a daughter of the late Joe and Clara Hearl. She lived most of her life in Danville where she was employed with Dan River Mills.

Mrs. Wann was married to Irby Edmond Wann who preceded her in death and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. Mrs. Wann is survived by a daughter, Shirley Wann Ferrell (Bobby); four sons, Charles Wann, Norman Leroy Wann, Harvey Wann (Rose) and Dennis Wann; grandsons, Keith Douglas (Linda), Robbie Douglas, Jake Wann, Allen Wann, Shannon Perrow (Sabrina); granddaughters, Monte Cassidy (Danny), Melanie Wann, Kayla Wann; four great grandchildren; and one brother, Garnet (Bud) Hearl. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Eileen Douglas; three brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Schoolfield Cemetery with Reverend Duane Blevins officiating. The family would like to thank her nurses, Jennifer, Janet and Marci and her CNAs, Patti Griggs, Quantiara (Q), Jordan, Sarah, Tina and Chris, for all of their love and care during her time at Roman Eagle.
