Obituary of Mary Spring Mary Ann Spring, 69, passed away at her home in White Salmon, Washington on June 6, 2018. She was born to Roy Earl and Delpha Ann (Essary) Pullum on March 14, 1949 in Hood River, Oregon. On June 4, 1965, Mary became the bride of James William Spring when they married in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The couple had three children. Mary worked at Dickey Farms weeding and pulling onions, and that is where she met Jimmy (James). After getting married, she worked as a waitress at Town and Country Restaurant, followed by sewing at Jantzen’s in Hood River.

After Jantzen’s moved, she worked as a pear packer at Underwood Fruit for many years. Mary opened up her own flower shop in White Salmon with her daughter. The flower shop was open for eight years at two different locations.

Mary loved working her shop, from making arrangements to delivering them. She did amazing work for the young and old, ranging from prom flowers to loving memorial tributes. Mary closed the shop due to the reconstruction of the property and went back to Underwood Fruit packing pears until she retired.

In her leisure time she enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and making jewelry. She was very gifted with artistic talent. Mary made porcelain dolls and was an incredible seamstress, making beautiful clothes for her daughter and prom dresses for her nieces.

She made beautiful hand-crafted jewelry and crocheted lovely gifts. Mary was an animal lover! She raised Pomeranians, Cocker Spaniels and Yorkies throughout her life time.

She and her husband Jim took her children and Pomeranians and traveled the local dog shows. Mary owned horses ever since she was a teenager and spent the last few years raising miniature horses. Mary had many friends who thought she was a very caring, loving individual who would do anything for anyone.

Mary will be missed by her husband, James W. Spring of White Salmon; daughter Sheila Spring of White Salmon; son James A. Spring and his wife Shanna of Milwaukie, Oregon; son Christopher M.
