Michael’s Obituary Michael Edward Tamkin, 69, of Mount Prospect, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday January 17, 2019. Born on January 31, 1949 in Chicago, the son of the late Edward and Marjorie (Adams) Tamkin. Mike grew up in Chicago and was a graduate of DePaul Academy in 1967.

He graduated from University of Illinois Chicago in 1971, majoring in art with a degree in graphic design. Mike is survived by his wife Verna (nee Scallon) Tamkin, they shared more than 47 years of happiness. He was a loving father to his children, Dave (Anne) Tamkin, James (Erin) Tamkin, Matthew Tamkin, Alana (Stephan) Dietz; and grandfather to Daelyn Dietz, Vera Dietz, Tre Tamkin, Michael Tamkin & Jolie Tamkin.

He was a man who loved his family dearly. The visitation is from 4-8 PM Monday January 21, 2019 at the Kristan Funeral Home PC 219 West Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt.

45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 AM Tuesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church 700 S. Meier Rd.

Mt. Prospect, IL. Interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
