Milton Lavern Lowman February 15, 1951 – March 11, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Milton L. Lowman, age 68, of Huntersville, N.C. passed away on March 11, 2019 at his home. Milton was born February 15, 1951 in Aiken, S.C. He was the son of the late Faye and the late Coy Lowman.

Milton was also preceded in death by his wife, Huetta Lowman; his stepfather, Cecil Queen; his sister, Hazel Duncan; and his brother, Charles Lowman. Mr. Lowman served in the U.S. Army for 5 years, worked at the U.S. Postal Service and Biotage. His last job was at the Barnes and Noble cafe where he enjoyed his co-workers and customers.

He had a smile for everyone and was very enthusiastic over what the newest promotion were for that month. He and his wife, Huetta adopted their only daughter Shanon. He enjoyed traveling to Portland, Oregan to visit his grandchildren Jack and Sloane.

He took his role as “Pop Pop” very seriously and made sure to spoil them when he visited. He was very blessed to have met his partner Brock after the passing of his wife. Together they built a life together filled with love and laughter.

Survived by his daughter Shanon and her husband Brian Hillsboro, of Oregan; a grandson Jack and granddaughter, Sloane; his partner of 8 years, Brock of Shelby, N.C.; his sister Kathy and her husband, Robert; his sister, Jewell; his sister, Brenda; his brother, Michael, his brother-in-law, Luke and his wife, Susan of Roanoke, Va. Special thank you to Brock who brought him so much happiness the last 8 years, took him to doctor appointments and gave him so much to look forward to. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Holly Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville, Va.
