Obituary for Muriel J. “Jean” Fisher Muriel Jean Miller was born on April 16, 1935 in the Landis Valley Hotel to the late Mary and Martin Miller of Lancaster, PA. She will be remembered as a dedicated homemaker and the proud matriarch of a family of 8 children, 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Jean will be sorrowfully missed and joyfully remembered by all who knew her.

She loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. Those, who knew her fondly, remember her candid sense of humor, inviting smile, infectious laugh, adoration of pink flamingos, and the love she carried for her furry companions (Tigger, Libby, and JoJo). She was an avid gardener and was admired for her cooking, bowling, bingo and 500-rummy skills.

She had a snappy wit, a fear of nothing, and an untiring zest for life. She is survived by sons Dennis (June) Lefever of Kentucky, David (Ann) Wolf of Shiremanstown, PA, Douglas (Lyn) Wolf of Winchester, CA, Dean (Stacy) Wolf of Mechanicsburg, PA and daughters Deborah (Jerry) Nye of Dauphin, PA, Dawn (York) Hamilton of Middletown, PA, Darla (Sean) Benish of Etters, PA, and Diane (Joe) Locastro, of Orlando, FL. Through 15 years of marriage to the late William Fisher, she received the love of 5 step-children – Scott, Rickey, Kenneth, Duane, and Tracy, 6 step-sisters and brothers, 6 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held where Jean will be laid to rest next to her late husband. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Compassionate Care Hospice of Camp Hill, PA.
