Pauline May “Polly” Smith (Gayman) Pauline M. “Polly” Smith, 98, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Elmcroft of Shippensburg. Born Friday, November 21, 1919 in Orrstown, she was a daughter of the late Albert B. and Elizabeth Foust Gayman. She was a 1938 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.

Polly was a very active member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg. She was the last Charter member of the Cumberland County Farm Women’s Group # 3, and a member of the Shippensburg Civic Club. Pauline is survived by one son, Galen R. (wife Linda K.) Smith, Shippensburg; one daughter, Patricia A. (husband Pete) Kosinski, Delmar, DE; two grandsons, Michael T. (wife Chrysty) Smith, and Timothy R. Smith, all of Shippensburg; two step grandsons, Alex Kosinski, Media, and William Kosinski, Souderton; one great grandson, Dylan M. Smith, Shippensburg; one step great grandson, Brandon Kendrick, Mercersburg; and two sister in-laws, Betty and Martha Gayman, both of Shippensburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester L. Smith, two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Grace United Church of Christ with the Rev. George W. Heckard officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., and one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Church of Christ, 121 East Orange Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
