Violet R. Flickinger, age 96 of Arendtsville, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville. She was born Wednesday, August 31, 1921 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Harry C. and Bruce G. (Waybright) Lackner. Violet worked as a secretary for Gettysburg National Bank at the Biglerville office.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of the Alter Guild. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She… Read More » was preceded in death by her husband, Ray M. Flickinger (2015), her sister, Dorothy M. Lackner and her brother, Charles S. Lackner.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 27 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38 North High Street, Arendtsville with Reverend Ben Siebert officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery.

A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until time of services.
