Obituary for Twila D. Mowery (Porter) Twila D. Mowery, 82, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Menno Haven, Chambersburg. She was born November 13, 1935 in Chambersburg. Twila was a daughter of the late Charles D. and Elizabeth T. Shriner Porter.

She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church. Twila worked at Burkhart’s Restaurant, and she loved to play bingo. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy D. (Timothy) Hull and Trudy J. (Richard) Horst both of Shippensburg; two sons, Raymond Andrew (CarolSue) Mowery, III of Dillsburg and Robert C. Mowery of Shippensburg; two brothers, Billy Porter of Carlisle and Barry Porter of Shippensburg; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Ann Stine. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev.

Dr. Francis H. Norton. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
