The daughter of Earl Thomas Mitchell and Mary Agnes (Ambrose) Mitchell, she was born July 12, 1941 in Gilmer, Texas. In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed working in her yard and playing computer games.

Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking a big breakfast for her grandchildren. She was a great cook and everyone loved her Mississippi Mud Cake.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Turner; three sisters, Eloise Eggleston, Desa Wallace, and Willa Mae Page; and two brothers, Ernest Page and Roy Benz. She is survived by one daughter, Rebekkah Canary and her husband, James, of Bridge Creek; three sons, Leon Turner of Newcastle, Jerry Turner of Newcastle, and Darrell Turner and his wife, Nancy, of Bridge Creek; eleven grandchildren, Michael Turner and his wife, Jennifer, of Moore, Kristie Walker and her husband, Brandon, of Tuttle, Trista Dawson and her husband, Wesley, of Newcastle, Haley Turner and Justin Wright of Nevada, Christina Crutcher of California, Sandy Hillman and her husband, Chad, of Moore, Danielle Turner of Bridge Creek, Whitney Jones and her husband, Jeremy, of California, Crystal Shepardson and her husband, Billy, of Blanchard, Joshua Canary of Bridge Creek, and Matthew Canary of Bridge Creek; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Johnny Benz of Marshall; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.
