Pete Miranda Sr. passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. He was the first Son born to Jesus and Jessie Miranda in Gilcrest, Colorado on April 16, 1928. Pete was a resident of Santa Maria for 76 years and worked for the Sanitation Department, retiring as a Supervisor after 33 years.

Pete was a devoted family man and one of his favorite things to do was talk about his memories and experiences.

He was a caring brother and a sensitive, generous man who shared his faith in Jesus Christ at every opportunity. He was witty and never lost his sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Andrea (Ferrel): his three sons and daughters in law: Pete Jr. & Brenda, Jesse & Lisa and Jacob & Adele.

Twelve grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive him. Pete is also survived by his brothers, Johnny (Virginia) and Mike (Kathy), and Sister, Marylou (Raymond) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers David and Frank, and Sisters Connie and Josie.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Pete Miranda on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2pm in the Chapel of Dudley Hoffman Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Santa Maria Cemetery.
