Phillis Marie Stephens, 68, wife of Donnie Ray Stephens, of 207 Vinson Street, Seneca, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at her home. A native of Calhoun, GA, Mrs. Stephens was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Cooper Clayton. She retired from Parkway Products.

Mrs. Stephens was known as a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stephens is survived by her sons: Anthony Howard Payne of Seneca, SC and Joseph Adam Payne of Seneca, SC; daughter: Angelia Marie Saski (Chris) of Seneca, SC; brother: Lavette Clayton of Dallas, GA; half-sisters: Laverne Lawson, Charlotte Slope and Darlene Byrd all of Georgia; and grandchildren: Gage Saski, Ayla Saski, Chaylece Douglas, Chaynelle Douglas-Payne and Javaughn Payne. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her sister: Brenda Goddard.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 15, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted.
