Raymond “Dick” Dickerson Collins October 05, 1945 – January 30, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Raymond Dickerson Collins “Dick”, 73 of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on January 30th, 2019 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dick was born in Moberly, MO on October 5th, 1945 to Howard and Betty Collins and was the oldest of four boys. He went to school in Clarence MO, where he began dating his wife of 54 years, Karen Morton, in the fourth grade.

Dick and Karen were married on August 22nd, 1964 in Clarence. They had two children, Earl Collins and Emily Shupe. Dick graduated from Clarence High School 1963, the University of Missouri with a BS in Agriculture in 1967, Western Illinois University with a MBA in 1989, and Washington University in St. Louis in 1992 with his Masters in Hospital Administration.

He worked in St. Louis for MDI Achieve as a Software Support Analyst. Dick was a proud member of AA for the past 31 years and was always passionate about helping others in need. He loved to golf with family and friends and was an aspiring poker player.

One of Dick’s favorite pastimes was watching the Cardinals play baseball. Dick was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Betty Collins. He is survived by his wife Karen of O’Fallon, MO, and his two children, Earl (Karen) Collins of Denver, CO and Emily (Darren) Shupe of Ursa, IL.

His brothers Mike (Kathy) Collins, Jim (Marsha) Collins and Pat (Donna) Collins, all of Clarence, MO. Several in-laws including Ida (Eddy) Collins of Clarence, Greg (Bev) Morton of Mexico, MO, and Jamey (Bridget) Morton of Kirksville, MO. Dick is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Lauren Post of England, Scott Post of New York, Zach and Megan Post and Cate and Eryn Collins of Denver, CO, Anna, Amber, Tucker, and Dexter Shupe of Ursa, IL, who all adored him and will miss his stories, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Western Illinois University Food Pantry. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors of Siteman Cancer Center as well as the amazing doctors and nurses of Barnes Hospital.
