Renae Cummins Hodson Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Renae, passed away in her home on September 5, 2018 in Ogden, Utah surrounded by her family. Renae was born September 5, 1939 in Oakley, Idaho and was the eleventh of fifteen children of Philip and Verla Boren Cummins. Renae married Roy Dean Hodson November 14, 1956 in Ogden, Utah.

They had three sons, Kevin, Ricky and Curtis. Renae took great pride in her family, home, and yard. She worked very hard to keep her home spotless and you could always see her outside mowing, trimming and watering to keep her yard immaculate.

After her housework was done, Renae always looked forward to going to the barn to help Dean with their horses and was always at the horse races with Dean and her sons. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside and always there to lend a helping hand. She was a great cook, and the grandchildren always put in special requests for grandma’s sugar cookies, and said we have to have her coleslaw for family parties and carrot cake for Christmas.

Renae was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed serving as a visiting teacher with Leona Baldwin for many years. Renae is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dean, her sons Kevin, Ricky (Stacy), Curtis (Michelle), also grandchildren Tyler, Casey, Ashley, Lindsey, Olivia, Luke and Zach, and great grandchildren, Brynlee, Grace, Krew, and Jett; sisters: Margie Hurd, Barbara Harris, Sandra Grisham, Marla Perry, Sharlene (Al) Humphrey, Glenda (Dave) Lloyd, and brothers Donald (Anita) Cummins and Philip (Glenda) Cummins. Renae was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Garth, Rozine, John, Lawana, Bonnie and Gary.

A graveside service and interment will be held at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. at 11:00 am on Monday, September 10, 2018. The family would like to especially acknowledge the many acts of love and kindness from friends and relatives who came to visit and provide care for Renae.
