Rev. Melda’s Obituary Melda Marie Lingle, 73, of Marshall, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Golden Oaks Residential Care in Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev.

Tom Owens officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Friends may sign the online register book at www. campbell-lewis.com Melda was born April 11, 1945, in Leavenworth, KS, to Thomas W. and Jessie M. Lingle and moved to Marshall in March of 1949.

Melda was a 1963 graduate of Marshall High School. Melda’s advanced education included a BS degree from Southwest Baptist University, a MS degree from CMSU, attended Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary, and received her CPE Certification from UN of Louisville Humana Hospital. In 2006, Melda received her Ordination of Ministry of the Gospel of Christ.

Upon retirement in 2005, Melda retuned to Marshall and became active in Family Worship Center, Republican Central Committee, the Salt Fork Pachyderm Club, and was devoted to the Circuit Rider Ministries, and many group Bible Studies. Melda was a strong prayer intercessor and felt her retirement mission was best fulfilled in this way. Surviving is one sister, Sue Ellen Stouffer and brother-in-law, Bill Stouffer; two nephews, Bert (Jacque) and Rob (Rachel); three great-nephews, Will, Bennett and Jake; and one great-niece, Madeline.

Preceding Melda in death were her parents; and one sister, Nancy Irene.
