Obituary for Rev. Ralph “Buddy” Harris Rev. Ralph “Buddy” Harris, age 80, passed away on October 26, 2018.

He was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on August 15th, 1938. He and his sister, Martha (Stout) were raised in Fort Payne by their loving parents, Joe And Margaret Harris. After graduating from Fort Payne High School in 1956, he attended and graduated from Samford University.

Fueled by a passion to serve the Lord, he prepared for his calling at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He and his devoted wife Jerrie spent most of their lives ministering to congregations in Columbus, Ohio, Nashville, Tennessee, and Winter Haven, Florida. Brother Ralph is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Jerrie; his daughters, Dianne McCallum and Vickie Harris; his son David (Jennifer) Harris; and his grandsons Parker McCallum and Jack Harris.

Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00pm and the funeral will follow at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home, PO Box 361767, Birmingham, AL 35236-1767 or the Southern Baptist International Mission Board.
