Richard C. Bjorklund, age 67, of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was born on May 2, 1951, to the late Charles and Lenore E. Bjorklund. Richard grew up in San Francisco, California where he attended Catholic school and was a member of the Catholic Church.

He received his Master’s Degree from California State University Chico. He served his country in the United States Army and the Army Reserves. Richard formerly worked as a Climatologist.

He was a member of the Elwood V.F.W. Post 5782. He enjoyed singing Karaoke and was an accomplished landscaper. Richard is survived by several friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bjorklund and mother, Lenore E. Bjorklund. Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will take place at a future date. Online condolences can be given at www.
