Richard A. Fulton Sr, 84, of Conway, SC formerly of Parkersburg WV died peacefully at his home on October 25, 2018. He was born in Parkersburg WV on July 19, 1934 the son of the late Frank Fulton Sr. and Mellie Buckalew Fulton. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 61 years Jo Ann Sheppard Fulton who passed away on August 24, 2018.

He attended Parkersburg High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Allegheny Power as a shift supervisor after 28 years of service. He was a member of the Conway Church of Christ, in Conway S.C. and the Lubeck Church of Christ, in Lubeck, WV.

He is survived by sons Richard Jr and his wife Susie; Martin and his wife Phyllis both of Parkersburg, daughters Candace and her husband Tim of Gettysburg, PA, and daughter Peggy and her husband Steve of Merritt Island, Fl. 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Frank Jr, Kenneth, Robert; sisters Gweneth Wolf, Evelyn Buckley, Beryl Snyder, Jane Davis, Jo Ann Riddle.

Richard enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, and serving the Lord. Visitation will be Wednesday October 31, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral service will be Thursday November 1, at 1:00 pm with David Newberry officiating.

There will be a visitation one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service. In leu of flowers contributions can be made to the Gianola/Fulton accounting scholarship Fund at the school of Business in care of the WVU Foundation.
