Gerald “Jerry” Tallhamer Gerald Howard “Jerry” Tallhamer, 82, of Washington, WV, passed away peacefully after an extended battle with cancer to be with his Lord and Savior on October 12, 2018. He was born June 9, 1936 in Wood County a son of the late Harry Tallhamer and Mina (Godfrey) Tallhamer. Gerald was a Member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church for over 50 years and he was involved in the Upper Room Sunday School Class.

Gerald enjoyed golf and he was an avid player. He is survived by his wife Carol A. (Brown) Knoop Tallhamer of Washington, WV, 3 children, Jerri Rexroad & Steven of Parkersburg, WV, Randy Tallhamer & Julie of Parkersburg, WV, and Robin Dunbar & Kenneth MD of Wheeling, WV, two step-daughters, Susanne Miller & Patrick of Washington, WV and Mary Beth Pollock & Edward of Mentor, OH, 18 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, 3 siblings, Landis Tallhamer & Janet of Washington, WV, Mary Walton of Davisville, WV and Judith Bassett of Knightdale, NC, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his first wife Carol Lou Tallhamer, 2 sisters, Deloris Nichols and Norma Fox.

Service will be Tuesday 11:00 AM at Stout Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Cindy Eakle officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
