Carole Lea Motley , 78, of Parkersburg passed away October 18, 2018 at her residence. She was born on February 17, 1940 in Whitesville, WV a daughter of the late Hubert and Naomi Skeens. Carole was a homemaker, Methodist by faith and known for her honesty.

She enjoyed bingo, yard sales, painting and most of all, spending time with her children. She is survived by her current husband, Dwight F. Motley; son, Phillip Gaul Motley; daughter, Debbie Renee (Stephen) Hanshaw; grandchildren, Jamie , Stephanie Frankie Hanshaw, Allen and Josh Motley; great grandchildren, Sophie, Kaya, Braylon, Braxton, Treyton and niece Wanda Strawser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Gaul; son Gregory Gaul; brother Boyd (Barbara) Skeens.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Reverend Kent Lowther, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
