OBITUARY Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg 403 Seventh Street, Parkersburg WV 26101. Zora E. Boston, 102, of Parkersburg passed away October 16, 2018 at Cedar Grove Personal Care. She was born on March 4, 1916 in Eaton, WV and was the daughter of the late Elliott C. and Nora Joy Deem.

Zora was a kind-hearted soul who spent much of her life caring for others and was happiest when serving in this role. She was a long-time member of Fairlawn Baptist Church and worked for some years as a baker for Borg Warner Chemical and DuPont Chemical Plants. She was known within her family and her church community for her baking and often would bring a pie to cheer a family in need or send cookies to family.

She never met a stranger and had many life-long friends. She was blessed to be able to live independently for most of her life and leaves her family with many cherished memories. Zora is survived by her son, Arthur (Trudy) Boston, Jr. of Medina, WV; one daughter, Eleanor Iannelli of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren: Sandra Steinbaker, Donald Stukey Jr. (Barb), Mickey Boston (Sully), Susan Goudy(Glenn), Aaron Boston and Cynde Boston (Robert) and one special step-grandchild, Nikki Lynch; nine great-grandchildren: Steven Steinbaker, Stephanie Geno (Scott), Joseph Stukey, Sarah Stukey, Joel Goudy, Megan Goudy, Kaiya Hardman, Kendall Hardman, and Clara Boston; and one great-great grand-daughter, Amelia Steinbaker.

She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Boston, Sr., son Merlyn R. Boston; six brothers, Roy, Ray, Floyd, Harold, Clifford, E.A. Deem; and one sister, Mable Rollyson. Visitation will be held Monday 5-8 pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, WV.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 1:00 pm at the Fairlawn Baptist Church, with Pastor Don Yeager, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, the family invites you to contribute to Samaritan’s Purse (www.
