Obituary for Robert E. “Duke” Anderson Robert E. “Duke” Anderson, 90, of York, PA died at Manor Care Health Services – Kingston Court on November 23, 2018. He was the husband of Nancy A. (Frey) Anderson of York, PA. Born January 25, 1928 in York, PA, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Nina M. (Gilbert) Anderson.

Duke retired from Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation as a Test Lab Technician. In addition to his wife, Duke is survived by two sons, Scott J. Anderson of York, PA and Eric Anderson and his wife, Barbara of York, PA; a daughter, Candice “Candy” Overmiller and her husband, Randy of York, PA; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren (with a 13th great grandchild due in June 2019) and three great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA with the Rev.

John Bell officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17110.
