Robert Lee Scott III was born in Sarasota, Florida on January 10, 1954 to father Thomas Winfield Scott and mother Mae Scott. He was a Native Floridian-hailing over six generations from the Sarasota and Myakka area. He was an accomplished musician, playing the guitar through various genres ranging from: Rock, Jazz, Blues and Gospel.

Robbie was an avid fisherman, hunter and knowledgeable environmentalist who knew how interdependence with nature was paramount. Family meant everything to Robbie and he faithfully loved his wife of over 45 years Rose Trevino Scott. His three brothers, Thomas Winfield II (Trisha), Mark (Michelle), and Sidney Scott (Julie) were always just a phone call away for one of his famous pool-parties, with smoked mullet, raw oysters and music.

He loved and was very proud of the successes of his children; Andy (Jackie), Christy (TJ), Thomas Winfield III. , Robert Lee IV (Tami) and Adam Joel Scott. He loved his grandchildren more than anything else; Trinity Hughes, Dakota, Ava, River, and Summer Scott.

He also had many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and great nieces and nephews. His heart was for the love of children and was always a patriarchal provider and protector of the family who are eternally grateful for his love. Rob was a Believer, Worshiper and Warrior of God.

His faith was always evident in his desire to fill others’ needs before his own. He was active in his churches Englewood Bible Church, New Seasons Ministries, shared and taught his love of music with everyone. Rob’s family encourages all who knew him to gather (Bring your Instruments!
