Ronald James Hadley February 8, 1946 ~ September 6, 2018 Ronald James Hadley, husband, dad, grandpa and friend died on Thursday, September 6, 2018. He was born the third child of Lloyd and Marian Brown Hadley on February 8, 1946. He spent his youth in North Ogden and graduated from Weber High in 1964.

Ron was an active member of the Plain City 6th Ward and held many callings. He served honorably in the Central States Mission. He attended Weber State College.

Ron always loved mechanical things and worked for many years at Ogden Honda. He also worked for Safeway and finished his career with the federal government retiring in September of 2013. In 1970 he met Kathy Skeen on a blind date.

They fell in love and were married on April 30, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Plain City, UT, where they raised their three amazing sons. Ron loved his family, motorcycles, the Jazz, his 1985 Ford truck, running, and all things Christmas.

He enjoyed visiting with all kinds of people especially on his trips to Sam’s. Ron loved speakers and stereos. He had an extensive library of movies that he shared with everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, three sons, Brett (Amie) Hadley; Christopher (Kristin) Hadley both of Plain City; and Taylor (Chelsie) Hadley (Pleasant View); Nine grandchildren, Saige: Ashlyn (currently serving in the Panama City, Panama Mission); Blake, Sophie, Spencer, Millie, Briggs, Jett and Gavin; a brother Stephen (Anne) Hadley; a sister, Sharon (Gerald) Halliday; a brother-in-law Jerald (Tracie) Shaw; a sister-in-law Kim (Ken) Dixon and many nieces and nephews. His parents, a brother Kent, and a sister Phyllis Shaw preceded Ron in death. In lieu of flowers please donate to the LDS Humanitarian Fund or your favorite charity and in Ron’s honor have a nice visit with a friend.

Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018, at the Plain City Stake Center, 4630 W 2150 N, Plain City, and from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Plain City Stake Center. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
