Roy Edward “Eddie” Trent, age 74, of Rogersville, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at his home. He was a son of the late Clarence “Dick” and Alva Ruth Brooks Trent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.D. and Mae Brooks, and Pryor and Annie Trent; grandsons, Rylan Douglas Trent, and Logan Trent; granddaughter, Recie Jones; and sister, Linda Self.

Eddie had a great love for the game of golf, fishing, hunting, and he was a proud Republican who loved our President and country. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Korea. Survivors include his loving daughter, Kelly Christopher and husband Scott of Decatur, GA; sons, Wayne Eddie Trent and wife Lori of Oxford, AL, Mark Trent of Mt.

Carmel, TN, and Matt Trent and wife Emily of Kingsport, TN; sister, Betty “Elaine” McPeek and husband Glen of Rogersville, TN; brother, Raymond “Mike” Trent and wife Linda of LaGrange, OH; grandchildren, Devin Trent, Lola Christopher, Addi Christopher, and Corinne Porter; and great grandchildren, Aiden Trent, Mariah Chalupa, and Kailyn Chalupa. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 pm Monday, March 11, 2019, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev.
